What is Revision Surgery for Nasal Contracture (Contracted Nose Reconstruction)?

Revision surgery for nasal contracture (also called “contracted nose” reconstruction) addresses scarring and structural distortion of the nose after prior rhinoplasty or implant augmentation. The procedure releases scar/contracture, removes problematic implants or capsules when present, and rebuilds the nasal framework (often with cartilage grafts) to restore nasal shape and airway function. Techniques are individualized and may include vestibular stenosis release, alar rim/sidewall support, spreader grafts for the internal valve, composite (skin-cartilage) grafts, and scar contracture revision methods (e.g., Z-plasty).
